Reports to: Shift Manager (Nottingham/GM)

Agreed Hours: Core hours Mon-Fri 13:00-19:00 (some flexibility required), 30 hours per week which may rise to full time (40 hours) as the business grows. The individual must be flexible on the hours worked depending on business needs.

• The individual must be proactive in their approach and be confident when dealing with staff, internal and external customers and senior management from within the business and externally
• The person must have good attention to detail and be tenacious in their approach to investigating CS enquiries and reporting
• At all times they must set a good example to the front line staff under their control and have a customer first attitude
• Health and Safety is paramount; the individual must proactively support the management team in deploying and monitoring Safe Systems of Work
• Must be capable of providing objective and cost-effective input into the planning of warehouse/staff/rounds
• Have good PC, English and Maths skills
• Willing to learn and develop their skills through training on and off site


• Supervise a small team of drivers, subcontractors and warehouse staff
• Supervise the loading/unloading of parcels to various carriers ensuring deadlines are hit
• Plan and implement new routes as and when new customers start
• Act in accordance with correct warehouse safety principles at all times
• Ensure building/warehouse is secure at all times
• Have an understanding of various KPIs
• Manage Returns process: Log returns & return in a timely manner. Check emails which come through from Customer Services in order to send the RTS item to correct address. Ensure RTS reports are sent to customers in a timely manner
• Send any customer supplies to customers in a timely manner
• Inspect vans daily for damage, cleanliness and basic legal compliance
• Ensure MHE checks are completed and acted on
• Forklift-driving duties as required (CB and Flexi training may be provided)
• Receiving and checking in stock
• General picking and packing duties when required
• Maintaining tidiness and safety in the warehouse and yard areas
• Deal with any queries received from any other department/customer in relation to your area of work
• Any ad-hoc task the company or a manager/supervisor may dictate
• Manage scanner performance and equipment
• International checking and documentation
