Parcelhub customers can now automate their order management with Brightpearl
Brightpearl’s 2000+ retailers, brands and wholesalers now have seamless access to Parcelhub’s 20+ carriers, 600+ delivery options and innovative eCommerce Tracking Support solution.
Parcelhub, the leading provider of enterprise carrier management and proactive tracking support, has developed innovative SMART Notifications software that proactively communicates parcel delivery status, allowing issues to be addressed before they escalate. Seamless integration into Brightpearl’s system means Brightpearl customers can now enhance their delivery offering with Parcelhub’s SMART technology, in addition to giving their customers greater delivery options through a single platform.
Steve Riley, IT Director at Parcelhub, explained, “Our customers were telling us that they needed something that did more than just track parcels, they needed to be proactively informed as to their status, especially when there were issues surrounding delivery. As a result, we developed a process that flags anything out of the ordinary and using a series of rules, notifies both the customer and our own eCommerce support team. We are delighted to now offer these same benefits to Brightpearl merchants.”
Stuart Pick, VP Global Alliances at Brightpearl commented: “Merchants are operating in an extremely competitive market, and it’s become increasingly difficult to differentiate only on product, therefore creating greater emphasis on the service merchants deliver. We see this in online reviews, where 77% of negative reviews are directly related to the after-sales experience – deliveries, returns, refunds, customer service etc. However, the same research shows that 9/10 buyers will look at reviews before making a purchase. It’s for this reason that we wanted to partner with Parcelhub – their innovative, service-focused delivery solution fits perfectly with our objective to help merchants deliver the best possible consumer experience.
“We’re also big believers in the importance of automating as much of the back office as possible, so that merchants can instead focus on activity that will help increase sales, and by partnering with Parcelhub we’re providing the most automated, end-to-end solution, from the buy button right through to the final mile and post purchase experience.”
James Hayes, Director of Business Development at Parcelhub added: “The market for solutions to help merchants improve their back office is crowded but for us, Brightpearl stood out as the best option for mid-market and fast-growing merchants. Unlike ERP solutions, Brightpearl is focused only on retailers, brands and wholesalers, which means it truly understands the processes, workflows and business goals that merchants have and has built its solution specifically to address these.
“We also felt that Brightpearl is built to help merchants scale and as Parcelhub supports merchants sending anywhere from 50 to 10,000 parcels per day so it was important that our partner can also deliver a reliable, robust solution that can support significant order volumes, particularly at peak trading periods.
“Finally, we were really impressed with Brightpearl’s overall approach to the market – their objective is to automate as much of the repeatable routine activity, freeing time that can be used by merchants to identify and then act on the exceptions that make a difference to the customer experience. This is very much aligned with our goal to make deliveries as friction-free for both consumer and merchant alike.”
