Parcelhub launches new collection service in the West Midlands

Parcelhub, the leading provider of multi-carrier delivery management and proactive tracking support, has invested in a new collection service in the West Midlands. This is in response to a large amount of SME and mid-market retailers, brands and wholesalers approaching the firm, who are based in the B, CV, DY, TF, WR, WS and WV postcode areas.

Offering a range of carrier options including Yodel, Hermes, DHL Parcel UK, Parcelforce and more, Parcelhub provides merchants shipping anywhere from 20, to 10,000 parcels per day, free software that integrates with their order management system/sales channels, and a single collection regardless of carrier choice.

The service which is launching in the West Midlands (Minworth), complements Parcelhub’s South Yorkshire (Dinnington) and Nottingham collection depots. This will see Parcelhub collect parcels from local e-tailers, then consolidate at its new and existing micro hubs, then pass over to its carrier partners for final mile delivery to the consumer. Small volume e-tailers will have access for the first time to Parcelhub’s carrier management software that will enable them to offer consumers a wider range of delivery options including 24 and 48 hours services.

In addition to granting online sellers access to ‘pooled volume’ discounted shipping rates, Parcelhub uniquely offers two value-added services:

  • SMART Notifications Platform – Thanks to careful mapping of scan events, and sequences of scan events, Parcelhub SMARTs can increase the success rate of your shipments by identifying delivery issues such as bad addresses, refused parcels and return to sender incidents. This data is pushed to our team and the carrier partner. – Learn More
  • Proactive Tracking Support – Parcelhub’s Outsourced Tracking Support solution is a service whereby once you send a parcel out the door and it hits the carrier’s network, we deal with all the issues on your behalf – as you. – Learn More

Other benefits to West Midlands e-tailers include single label production which connects the whole delivery process together, enabling better journey transparency through increased track and traceability of the parcel. With its collection hubs located in big conurbations, Parcelhub is able to offer better collection times and reduce the environmental impact of collections through reduced mileage to the handover of parcels to delivery partners. One of the greatest benefits to e-tailers is that they will have access to Parcelhub’s industry-leading account management, with a single person handling all their delivery management needs.
