Parcelhub Launches Shopify Integration

Ecommerce shipping and customer services provider integrates with leading eCommerce platform

Having received a high volume of requests for Shopify compatibility, the Parcelhub team has invested in another bespoke integration. The expanding firm now distributes more than 6 million parcels annually on behalf of hundreds of eCommerce retailers, and this is the latest technological development following on from its state-of-the-art SMART platform.
With more than 400,000 merchants worldwide, Shopify is the latest addition to the Parcelhub integration suite. As with other integrations, it will shorten customers’ label production to a few clicks of a mouse, while retaining full control over every shipment. Additionally, sellers will be able to map services in Shopify, to services within Parcelhub for additional time saving and ease of use.
Using the Parcelhub API, merchants can link their Shopify store to Parcelhub Web Despatch, allowing them to view any orders that have been paid for, or not yet fulfilled. The Shopify integration will also enable customers to set up specific rules for domestic and international shipments.
Chris Knowlson, Software Developer at Parcelhub, was heavily involved with this project:
“Keeping a similar interface to our other eCommerce platform integrations, our Shopify shipping integration has been designed with ease of use in mind. Unfulfilled paid orders are pulled from Shopify and set to a service based on weight and destination of the order. Once happy with the service selection, merchants can book their shipments, pass tracking numbers to Shopify, and mark them as fulfilled, all at the click of a button. To aid their picking process, there is even the option to produce a pick list that will print the labels on a scan.”
Cosmetics retailer Amour Group was one of the first Shopify merchants to integrate with Parcelhub; Maxine Harish (Founder) commented:
“Prior to switching to Parcelhub we had to perform all fulfilment tasks manually. We had to wait for an order to come through from PayPal, copy and paste customer address details and then print, one by one; it was a mammoth task. Parcelhub automates all of these processes. It downloads orders from Shopify and automatically prints the labels. Not only is this saving vast amounts of time, but there is almost zero chance of error.”
“We get feedback all the time from Parcelhub – They are professional, proactive and efficient. We knew nothing at all about logistics and eCommerce so launching and growing this business has been a massive learning curve; Parcelhub has helped us with that and has facilitated further growth.”
