This week I had the pleasure of catching up with Ben Toogood, CEO & Co-Founder of Pimento, to find out how their innovative warehouse management system is shaking up the industry.
Who are Pimento?
Pimento is a radical new warehouse management system (WMS) working with businesses of all sizes. Our mid-market product is the perfect solution for companies to scale or transition. At Pimento we transform our customers' operation to be as efficient and cost effective as possible.
Pimento is committed to helping our customers eliminate operational inefficiencies by gaining a deep understanding of their needs. This approach allows us to optimise the onboarding process, setting the stage for success across the organisation.
Our focus areas include enhancing productivity, improving operational efficiency, elevating customer experience (CX), and reducing costs.
How did the Pimento journey begin?
Pimento began its journey 5 years ago under Hutch Logistics, we previously built our system to manage our own 3PL. After leasing it out privately, we received a lot of positive attention and feedback which prompted us to take it to market.
What key challenges do your customers face, and how does Pimento solve them?
The challenges our customers face are unique and vary from business-to-business. Primarily our customers usually have operational reservations around service, integrations and features that other platforms are lacking. What sets us apart is the agility to be flexible with our system and provide a high-quality service alongside that. Pimento is what you need it to be.
What makes Pimento unique?
Pimento is known for being agile with a modern interface that’s user friendly. We cater for more than the 4 walls of the operation, accounting for the customer experience too. We have features that allow us to manage the operation end-to-end whilst offering industry leading customer support.
What’s new at Pimento?
We have just launched two new wave picking solutions, enabling warehouses using Pimento to pick faster and with fewer steps.
In the near future we will be releasing multipiece which will allow multiple parcels to be shipped for a single order. This will be a game changer for our customers and any new customers onboarding.
Who are your ideal future customers?
We measure our ICP based on shipments.
Our ICP would sit at 5000+ shipments for brands and 25,000+ for 3PL’s. However, our solution can be tailored to customers with niche problems that sit below that.
Where do you see Pimento in the next 5 years?
In 5 years, Pimento will be the market leader for warehousing software in the UK.
Why did you decide to partner with Parcelhub?
We decided to partner with Parcelhub due to the excellent reputation you maintain. We have customers that would benefit from using your services alongside the benefit of partnering with such a known household name in the industry.
I believe we will be able to grow this relationship to provide our mutual customers the best end-to-end experience leading to bigger and better things between Parcelhub and Pimento.
