Who Are Sandbag?

Sandbag are a specialised merchandising and eCommerce business supporting some of the largest bands, artists and content creators across the globe. Established in the early 2000s with just 3 people, the business quickly grew to over 50 employees, with offices in the UK and Los Angeles. They offer a global solution that now encompasses tour merchandising, retail, product licensing, VIP and pre-sale ticketing, as well as fully managed eCommerce solutions that include warehousing, logistics, and customer service.

The Challenge

With fast growth and the demands of working with household names, technology played an important part in helping Sandbag grow organically. Sandbag's initial ERP system limited them to a single parcel carrier, resulting in slow deliveries, limited consumer choice, and high shipping costs.  At this point, Sandbag made the decision to migrate to another ERP system that was more suited to their global ambitions, who subsequently introduced Parcelhub as an eCommerce delivery partner.

The Results

Parcelhub had an existing integration with the new ERP solution that enabled us to easily connect with Sandbag’s systems. This low friction integration allowed Sandbag to quickly offer multiple parcel carriers, improving the customer experience and increasing delivery resilience which ultimately enabled growth. By implementing a multi-carrier solution, Sandbag has saved tens of thousands of pounds each year in shipping compared to their previous single-carrier solution.

Ongoing Support & Partnership

Sandbag now manage over 300 Shopify stores globally. As with any complex eCommerce environment, some initial teething problems were encountered. The Parcelhub team ensured these were resolved quickly and efficiently with transparent communication. The strength of the relationship and easy way of working has proven a successful formula.
